The D’MADD team attended the Virtual Technical Assistance Mission on Disaster Risk Management (DRM) of the World Bank's ISARF unit. The DMADD project has been collaborating with the unit on implementing a multi-hazard early warning pilot for floods.

The teams discussed the current ongoing initiatives and how the teams can further collaborate in the disaster risk management efforts.

Priyanka Dissanayake, Disaster Risk Management Specialist,Ms. Alice Soares, Senior Hydromet Advisor and Dr. Melanie Simone Kappes, Disaster Risk Management Specialist participated in the virtual conference.

Mr. Jerome Bezzina, Senior Specialist in the World Bank’s Digital Development Global Practice and Task Team Leader for the D’MADD project with, Dr Ibrahim Waheed, Project Manager, Ms Shama Ahmed Rasheed, Procurement Specialist and Mr Ahmed Haleem, Communications Specialist participated from the D’MADD project.
