Unlocking the Power of Digital Data & Technologies for Climate Resilience

A two-day strategy and learning workshop to support the deployment of digital data technologies and tools for climate action, jointly convened by the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Technology and the World Bank has begun at Kurumba Maldives.

The visiting consultants demonstrated, some of the digital technologies they were using for research. These include Passive Acoustic Monitoring, Arial Drones using FLuidlensing technologies, Long Range underwater drones and so on.

The workshop was though provoking and helped the participants mainly consisting officers working in the environmental sectors to understand what digital technology can be used, especially in the area of data collection, which is a major challenge in their line of work.
