The D’MADD project has delivered
the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan framework for the National
Centre for Information Technology (NCIT). This marks the completion of the third
activity of component 1: Developing a business continuity and disaster recovery
plan for strategic digital government data assets and services. This was conducted
under Subcomponent 1.2, Empowering public institutions for digital
transformation in government.
The contract was awarded to KBSL
Information Technologies Limited on 4th May 2025 for USD 45,525. The
project was to be completed in 4 months from the date of commencement which was
5th April 2025.
The plan and the framework for
further enhancement was presented to all staff of NCIT at a workshop. The
workshop was conducted by Dr. K. Rama Subramaniam, the lead consultant along
with Mr. Ganesh Kandasamy, principal consultant and Mr. Krishan Perara,
Associate Vice President for International Business.
In addition to the presentation
of the full documentation to the NCIT managerial and technical staff, a hands-on
activity on incident response was conducted during the workshop. A total of 39 participants
were present in the event.
Multiple engagements both in
person and online was led by the PMU to coordinate between the Stakeholder and
the Contractor for the successful delivery of the activity.
