Project Manager Dr. Ibrahim Waheed met with the Managing Director of Tradenet Corporation Limited, Ms. Saeeda Umar. Tradenet is a State-Owned Enterprise that is part of the government's digitalization of public services.

Dr. Ibrahim Waheed introduced the project to the Tradenet Team and discussed how the entity can collaborate on the government digitalization efforts within the D’MADD project. The key item discussed was the D’MADD project’s work on the Digital Identity and Services bill. The project is to provide technical assistance to NCIT in drafting the bill. Furthermore, the project's support in restructuring the NCIT as a Government Digital Service (GDS) was discussed.

Tradenet agreed to the importance of having a unified policy for the Maldives' digital development and agreed to collaborate with D’MADD on the bill and other areas where synergies can be made to streamline the digitization and provision of government services online.

Mr. Ahmed Haleem, Communications Specialist of the D’MADD project, participated with Dr. Waheed. Mr. Ahmed Samoon (General Manager, ICT) and Mr. Ahmed Varish Mohamed (General Manager, Business Development) represented Tradenet Corporation with the Managing Director.
